Greenock and Glasgow, Scotland

Our arrival port was Greenoch, a small Scottish town, where we were greeted by the sound of bagpipes.  We were extremely fortunate to have another sunny day.

Our shuttle van

A group of Cruise Critic members hired Fife Shuttle for our transportation needs.
Our first photo opportunity was Stirling Castle, which is built on top of a 250 foot extinct volcano. Stirling Castle once served as a residence of the royal Stuart dynasty.

We then continued to the Wallace Monument:

While I dashed around the Monument taking pictures,my dear husband managed to get back down to the meeting area to have a short sit-down with Dianne, one of our BC friends.

We loved our time in the well-known town of Culross, which is being restored to represent village life in the 1600's.  Cobblestone streets, small wooden doors, crowded footpaths and more.

From the upper walkway this is the view of the town and the surrounding countryside.

After exploring this town, we started getting excited as we knew we were on our way to Edinburgh and that evening's highlight, the Military Tattoo.
